A New Orleans native, Ruth started working with us a week after
Hurricane Katrina displaced her and her family. With her previous
experience working at other veterinary clinics and shelters for the
last few years, she’s become a valuable part of our team.
Being such a good fit here, she and her husband, Mike, decided to
make Shreveport home.
Now their family includes son Jimmy, and four mixed breed,
rescued dogs named Samson, Tito, Pounce and Roxxie. They are
allowed to live with a calico cat named Lily.
Ruth, Mike and Jimmy love to go camping in the mountains and
take long walks with the dogs. Above all, her favorite activities
include her son and husband. Any day with them is a good day
indeed.
Ruth loves learning and attends continuing education seminars to
keep herself knowledgeable in her field. When she completes her
prerequisite courses, she plans to take classes to become a
certified veterinary technician.

but she is an all-around employee, knowing how to “run”
most parts of the office.
