Dr. Gregory Gill is a 1970 graduate of Texas A & M College of Veterinary Medicine. He says that he would have liked to have gone to the LSU School of Veterinary Medicine, but they did not open until academic year of 1973-1974. He and his family have lived in the Shreveport, LA, area since 1980. He has been a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, Louisiana Veterinary Medical Association, Northwest Louisiana Veterinary Medical Association, Cornell Feline Academy, and the Rotary Club of Southwest Shreveport.
As of the end of June 2017, he has transitioned from part time practice to full retirement. Outside of work and professional associations, Dr. Gill is a regular camper and fisherman, and he is very active in his church. He now plans to pursue those interests with his wife, Sue.
From the desk of Dr. Gregory Gill:
To all my Much Appreciated Clients and Friends,
The practice of veterinary medicine has been very satisfying and fulfilling to me for the past 47 years. God has richly blessed me with memorable patients and life-long friends over my journey through this profession. Thank you for allowing me the privilege of providing care to your very important family members for all these years. It is a privilege and pleasure that I have always taken seriously by providing the best care. I felt that this profession was God’s calling in my life, and I loved every minute of it!
It is with great and mixed emotions that I have decided to retire as of June 27, 2017. It is time for Sue and me to begin the next chapter of our lives together.
The transition is made easier by knowing that Dr. Sarah Day will continue with the same mission and provide the care you have come to expect at South Park Animal Hospital.
